AAEA Superintendent Panelist Speaker

Recently I represented my school district at the Arkansas Association of Educational Administrators (AAEA) Superintendent 2024 Winter Symposium conference. The morning was filled with engaging discussions, and I had the privilege of addressing a gathering of over 100 superintendents.

As Superintendent of the Conway school district, I was chosen as one of three panelists to shed light on the recent legislative changes brought about by the LEARNS Act, specifically impacting superintendents across the state. The AAEA conference, held in Little Rock, served as a crucial platform for educational leaders like myself to dive deep into critical issues facing the education sector.

My role in the panel discussion aimed to unravel the complexities of the LEARNS Act and offer insights into its implications for superintendents. The response from the attendees was overwhelmingly positive, with the audience actively engaging in the discussion around these legislative changes. It was heartening to see a shared understanding and collaboration emerging from our dialogue.

I express my gratitude for the opportunity to represent the Conway school district and emphasize the importance of open dialogue and information exchange among educational leaders.

It is an honor to be selected as a panelist and to contribute to the discussion on legislative changes that directly impact our roles as superintendents.

The LEARNS Act, a recent legislative education initiative, has introduced significant adjustments to the educational landscape. My role as a panelist allowed me to delve into the practical implications of these changes, offering valuable insights to my peers.

The AAEA, committed to supporting and assisting school leaders in their professional development, provided an excellent backdrop for our discussions. The organization plays a pivotal role in fostering collaboration and knowledge-sharing among educational professionals across the state.

As the conference concluded, I expressed optimism about the future of education in Arkansas. "Events like these highlight the strength of our educational community. By working together and staying informed, we can navigate the challenges brought about by legislative changes and continue to provide quality education for our students," I concluded.

My representation at the AAEA conference underscores the commitment of the Conway school district to stay at the forefront of educational policy discussions and ensure the best outcomes for our students in the ever-evolving landscape of education.
