Jeff S. Collum, Ed.D.
Dr. Jeff Collum has served as a professional educator in both Texas and Arkansas for the past 28
years. During that time, he served in roles such as teacher, coach, trainer, speaker, Principal,
Executive Director, and Superintendent of schools. He has a combined 14 years of superintendent
experience in both Texas and Arkansas. He is the proud husband of Cara Collum for twenty years
and the father to three amazing sons, Caleb, Elijah, and Causey Collum.
Dr. Collum has been involved in several successful initiatives during his career. He has helped
initiate and implement passing of over $100,000,000 dollars in bond facility projects for various
districts. He has also initiated multiple technology 1:1 projects leading to high student participation
and positive academic student outcomes.
He has helped expand classroom learning opportunities in the PK-12 grade levels for all student
and has recently served as the key developer for the state of Arkansas’ first early childhood
“Executive functioning” brain development Lab school for Pre-K students. The program still
currently serves approximately 300 students ages 3-4. The program was recently expanded to over
25 additional school districts through this implementation and continues to see great success.
During his tenure he has been named as “Administrator of the Year” in both Texas and Arkansas,
once in 2009 at Tyler ISD for his work on a “Turn around” Campus, and once in Arkansas for his
work in school safety and security. Most recently he was nominated as one of the state of Arkansas’
“Superintendent of the year” candidates in 2023.
He is one of only two “Subject Matter Experts” for school safety in the state of Arkansas, awarded to
him in 2024 by the U.S. Department of Education REMS Data Safety Center Washington, D.C. He has
spoken and presented at numerous national conferences on school safety, hosted multiple podcasts
related to school safety, and implemented several district and city wide activities to improve overall
safety responses for school districts and municipalities. He is passionate and committed to serving
schools, businesses, and organizations in their efforts to improve their leadership and quality of
operations both efficiently and effectively..
